East Africa is one of the most important crafts-producing regions on the African continent. Its geographical location makes it a melting pot of different cultures, resulting in a rich diversity of crafts skills and products. Unfortunately, crafts producers in the region find it difficult to access both the regional and international market. In the same way, regional and international buyers have a challenge identifying reliable suppliers and sourcing products from the region.
SOURCE East Africa wants to fill this void and establish the first professional business-to-business trade fair for Home Decor and Fashion Accessories in East Africa. The goal is to create a platform that links export ready suppliers in the region with regional and international buyers searching for unique products.
In 2016, four international organizations came together to organize and launch the first edition of SOURCE East Africa in September 2016.
