Easy Afric Designs is a socially motivated organization, engaged in the creation of eco-chic handmade fashion accessories and home décor branded LUSUSU. All products are made form ‘Barkcloth’, a unique ancient Ugandan fabric. The bark is sustainably harvested by hand from the ‘Mutuba’ tree and processed into a fabric using age-old production techniques. Barkcloth pre-dates the invention of weaving and was declared an Intangible World Heritage by UNESCO. Easy Afric Design’s vision is to revitalize this ancient fabric with innovative and fashionable designs.
